Gil is a regular collaborator with several artists from various different disciplines, including other dance artists, musicians and theatre practitioners. Here are a few examples of her most frequent work.
Gil has worked with theatre director Kei Bailey since 2002 based at various venues and on projects with young people around the UK. In early 2015 the pair began to work under the name 'Bailey and Burns Theatre', and now run independent projects, workshops and school activities around Lincolnshire and Yorkshire. Their specialism is devising work for and with young people - whether it be writing a bespoke full length show for a school yr 6 performance or devising a show with young people in the school holidays - it's always lots of fun! Gil began working with Natalie as a performer for Thingumajig Theatre several years ago. Over the years they have discovered a special connection and ability to work in partnership. Gil first attended Natalie's class for those living with Parkinson's over two years ago and has never left - she now works as support/cover dance artist for the class. She especially loves the development of delivering material alongside Natalie and being part of such a magical group. Through this partnership, Natalie and Gil founded the Calderdale Dance Artists Network in 2014, have recently launched an all female ceilidh band - The Beau Dillies - and are constantly in conversation about various street theatre acts in development - watch this space!
